In some cases, the alcohol free beers and spirits are even outselling popular soft drinks such as Pepsi and Coca-Cola with people looking for healthier alternatives to their usual tipples since the start of the New Year.
Restaurants have even started to advertise alcohol free beer deals as part of their weekend brunch packages in Dubai.
The National spoke to retailers who said the demand in the UAE was mirroring a global trend to turn away from alcohol, especially among younger people.
