Aspen Medical and University of Wollongong in Dubai run a life-saving skills demonstration on campus

Aspen Medical, a global leader in healthcare solutions, and the University of Wollongong in Dubai (UOWD) have officially commenced their collaboration under a recently signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), by running an emergency skills demonstration event for students and staff on the UOWD campus.
The event, held at the UOWD campus, featured four interactive stations where participants learned essential emergency response skills, including performing CPR, managing choking incidents for adults and children, handling fractures, and controlling bleeding effectively.
“This event is a great way to kick off our collaboration, reinforcing our commitment to improving healthcare education and emergency preparedness” said Claire Westbrook-Keir, General Manager of Aspen Medical UAE. “By running this event together, we are supporting students by demonstrating basic skills that, when done correctly, can be the life-saving difference in an emergency.”
This event is part of a broader effort by Aspen Medical and UOWD to enhance healthcare education, training, and workforce development. Future initiatives will involve collaboration on expand on training related to critical care, emergency response, and public health awareness to address regional healthcare challenges.
