Cementing Commitment To UAE’s Crypto Evolution
Chainalysis, a global blockchain intelligence platform, has launched its regional headquarters in Dubai.
The New York-headquartered company specialises in cryptocurrency investigation and compliance solutions for global law enforcement agencies, regulators, and private sector entities fighting illicit cryptocurrency activity.
Michael Granger, CEO of Chainalysis, formally inaugurated the new regional office in Dubai in early May.
Commenting on the occasion, Granger noted that Chainalysis has been supporting the UAE market for a few years now, and the opening is only a testament to the company’s commitment to supporting an innovative digital asset economy. It is also one of the world’s pioneers in digital asset regulations.
He added: “These are exciting times, especially with the ongoing Crypto Spring and positivity in the market. Utilisation is the underlying success story of the industry, and we will continue to see strength in innovation and novel use cases. We are thrilled to have a growing team on the ground, ready to support both the public and private sectors in navigating this journey ahead.”
Following the inauguration of its Dubai office, Chainalysis will establish regional offices in growing markets such as India, Africa, and Central Asia.
The company will harness Dubai’s talent pool by recruiting professionals specialising in traditional finance, regulatory compliance, and Web 3.0 technologies to drive its operations forward in Dubai.
Dubai’s Allure
Chainalysis’ opening of its regional office in Dubai underlines the Arabian Gulf emirate’s allure as a preferred destination for multinational companies’ regional headquarters.
In this context, Dubai has taken the top position globally for HQ FDI projects for the second consecutive year, attracting an impressive 60 projects in 2023.
The decision to open a regional HQ in Dubai emirate comes after Chainalysis registered three years of exponential growth in the region, where the crypto ecosystem is scaling new heights in the digital era.
Also, setting up a regional base in Dubai comes naturally to the company as it adheres to the emirate’s aspirations to emerge as a global crypto hub.
In this regard, Chainalysis collaborates with key UAE government entities to shape regulations and frameworks to foster a vibrant crypto ecosystem in the Arabian Gulf.
Such partnerships include an initiative with the UAE’s Ministry of Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications to establish a Centre of Excellence to upskill UAE government employees on blockchain technologies.
Granger hailed the UAE government’s proactive stance in spearheading the crypto revolution through progressive regulations and business-friendly policies.
He reiterated Chainalysis’ commitment to nurturing the Middle East region’s crypto ecosystem in alignment with global developments, underscoring the UAE’s potential to lead innovation with transformative use cases benefiting consumers and businesses alike.
