Chopard partners with Red Sea Film Festival

For the third year in a row

As the fourth edition of the Red Sea Film Festival (December 5-14, 2024) continues, Chopard also deepens its passion for cinema. Having been the competition’s official partner since 2022, the Swiss luxury house remains dedicated to supporting the arts, crafting all the trophies for the prestigious event.

This year, Chopard’s talented artisans have created a fresh design for the awards, inspired by the coral motif chosen by the Red Sea Film Foundation. Each trophy is a unique, in-house creation, a testament to Chopard’s jewellery craftsmanship.

Chopard’s commitment to nurturing emerging talent is evident through its support of the ‘Best Emerging Talent Award’, which will highlight the brightest new stars in Middle Eastern cinema for the third consecutive year.

Chopard’s Co-President and Artistic Director, Caroline Scheufele, specialises in celebrating youthful talent, adding to the festival’s focus on the dynamic diversity of Arab, African, and Asian cinema. As the ten-day event honours these regions, Chopard will continue to be the ‘red carpet jeweller’, with its jewellery and watch creations gracing film premieres and events.

Held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, the Red Sea Film Festival 2024 marks the third year of Chopard’s official partnership with this growing international event. Chopard’s expertise in jewellery design allows it to craft the trophies awarded to the festival’s esteemed winners.

For this edition, the trophies have been revamped with a striking design that draws inspiration from the wavy orange livery of the ‘Spanish dancer’ found in the Red Sea’s coral reefs. This interpretation reflects the Festival’s emblem, embodying Chopard’s signature creativity and excellence in craftsmanship.

Chopard has always been committed to promoting emerging talents, a mission it began in 2022 by introducing the ‘Best Emerging Talent Award’. This year, the award will once again honour an up-and-coming actor or actress with exceptional promise for the future of cinema.

Chopard has been a long-time partner of the Cannes International Film Festival since 1998 and is delighted to extend its support to major cinematic events globally. Through its collaboration with the Red Sea Film Festival, Chopard continues to champion the diversity and innovation of Arab, African, and Asian cinema.

As Caroline Scheufele explains: “The Red Sea Film Festival promotes creativity and innovation, fostering works that encourage diversity, inclusion, and empowerment—values that Chopard proudly shares.”
