Dongfeng Nissan unveils N7 EV sedan at Auto Guangzhou
Set for China launch in H1 2025
Dongfeng Nissan has unveiled its highly anticipated all-new N7 electric sedan at the 2024 Guangzhou International Automobile Exhibition (Auto Guangzhou).
The N7, set to launch in China in the first half of 2025, is the first vehicle built on Dongfeng Nissan’s new modular architecture, which was explicitly developed for electric vehicles.
Produced and designed in China, the N7 aims to offer a stress-free driving experience, combining superior comfort with cutting-edge technology.
The car was first previewed earlier this year at the Beijing Motor Show as the ‘Nissan Epoch Concept.’ The official reveal at 2024 Auto Guangzhou introduces the sleek, medium-large sedan to the public.
The N7’s design features Nissan’s signature V-Motion styling, giving it a fluid and futuristic appearance. It measures 4,930mm in length, 1,895mm in width, and 1,487mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,915mm for added cabin space.
Inside, the N7 boasts a state-of-the-art infotainment system powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295P processor, ensuring exceptional processing power and a seamless user experience.
The vehicle also offers an advanced driver-assistance system developed in partnership with Momenta, a leader in autonomous driving technology in China. This system, dubbed ‘Navigate on Autopilot,’ will provide enhanced autonomy and safety features.
Dongfeng Nissan is keen to meet the growing demand for electric vehicles in the world’s largest automotive market, positioning the N7 as a premium offering focused on innovation and comfort.
The car is the first all-electric model introduced in China as part of Nissan’s midterm strategy, The Arc. The company aims to accelerate the development and export of new energy vehicles from China through this plan.
Further details on the N7, including pricing and specifications, will be announced closer to its launch next year.
Makoto Uchida, Nissan President and Chief Executive Officer, said: “To achieve sustainable growth in the rapidly changing Chinese market, Nissan is committed to a China-tailored strategy as we announced in our new business plan, ‘The Arc.’
“With new energy vehicles, Nissan will build a balanced product portfolio of diverse and competitive new models. We will aim to provide a more exciting mobility experience to all customers in China.”
