Dubai Foundation Signs MoU With UNESCO’s Regional Centre for Excellent Education

The HRMFDAP and the UNESCO Regional Centre for Quality and Excellence in Education have agreed to work together more closely in the areas of education and research by signing an MoU. The agreement was signed at the Mohammed Bin Rashid Library on the margins of the World Conference for Innovation in Education, which was hosted by HRH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum. The document was signed by the Secretary-General of HRMFDAP, Dr. Khalifa Al Suwaidi, and the Director-General of the UNESCO RCQE, Dr. Abdulrahman Almedaires.

Based on the MoU, the Foundation and the UNESCO RCQE will work together in some areas. For example, they will share publications about education and research in quality, excellence, innovation, and creativity. They will also collaborate on projects and initiatives to organize conferences, seminars, meetings, etc.

Al Suwaidi said they were glad to sign this MoU with the UNESCO RCQE. This memorandum is a result of their shared goal of making it easier for the HRMFDAP and the Center to work together and coordinate. They also hope the partnership will help achieve the vision and strategic directions of the UAE’s leaders. He stated that they see value in working more closely with them to use each other’s expertise in all areas of education and knowledge. This partnership will help them reach their shared strategic goals and move their institutions and the field forward. 

Dr. Almedairesthanked the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, led by King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, as well as HRH Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud for their huge support of many educational development projects on a local, regional, and international scale. Almedaires also thanked the Secretary-General of the Hamdan Foundation for this valuable partnership, which improves cooperation in the region and around the world.

It’s important to note that the Center is based in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and was set up by UNESCO. The organization’s main goal is to raise educational standards and make them a key part of sustainable development.
