EMBARK ON DUBAI’S BIGGEST GAMING WEEKEND AT GAMEEXPO, PART OF DUBAI ESPORTS AND GAMES FESTIVAL
DUBAI, United Arab Emirates, 22 June 2023: Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE) is thrilled to announce details of the exciting line-up of events at GameExpo, part of Dubai Esports & Games Festival 2023 (DEF 2023), with over 20 gaming brands present. Held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Media Council, GameExpo will have the gaming world in one place and is set to take place from 23 to 25 June at Hall 1 South of the Dubai Exhibition Centre, Expo City Dubai.
Held during DEF 2023, the region’s biggest ever and most exciting esports and games festival, GameExpo features an unforgettable series of events held over three action-packed days. Eager gaming fans, families and the public are encouraged to come and explore a whole world full of games, from retro arcade and 1980s and 2000 era, to experiencing new tech including the latest Virtual Reality games and simulators.
GameExpo showcases cutting-edge gaming products and experiences at the du Gamers District, from industry giants such as Xbox, Ubisoft, Capcom, Playstation, Teleios, Moonton and RedBull, with family fun activations and esports tournaments with KitKat, Vox and more. Visitors can immerse themselves in the world of virtual reality and the new web 3.0 games hitting the market in the Emirates NBD Future Zone, try their hand at the new and latest releases, and connect with fellow gaming enthusiasts with a new influencer tournament, Play Beyond, seeing a contest between some of the world’s biggest gamers.
GameExpo will cater to every gaming passion and will feature many exciting activities at the Retro Zone, Discovery Zone, Tabletop Zone, Geekay Zone and the Narrows. Bringing players together to enjoy some of the latest and biggest games in the world, GameExpo will showcase the best local talent from Dubai and the wider region with fun and engaging games like the Dominos Proeducation area. In addition, the Narrows is where you can shop from Dubai’s best homegrown retail and local talented artists.

Gamers Theatre in association with VOX Cinemas
The gaming epicenter, Gamers Theatre in association with VOX Cinemas, is where the magic happens. Featuring old-school arcade machines from the golden age of the gaming industry, the Retro Zone offers a deep dive into the nostalgia of video games. Tabletop Zone
