Etihad Rail, the UAE National Rail Network developer and operator, has signed an agreement with Beeah Tandeef, a subsidiary of the Beeah Group, a UAE-based sustainability solutions provider.
This landmark agreement begins a partnership between Abu Dhabi-based Etihad Rail and Beeah Group. Waste management services will extend to selected sites across the UAE, including crucial locations such as Al Mirfa Depot, Muzaira’a, and freight stations in various industrial hubs.
This strategic collaboration aims to manage waste across Etihad Rail’s various sites efficiently, ensuring safety, environmental responsibility, and sustainability.
The agreement encompasses comprehensive waste management services covering the entire Etihad Rail network, including waste collection, transportation, disposal, and recycling.
By entrusting this responsibility to Beeah Tandeef, Etihad Rail reaffirms its commitment to safeguarding public health, preserving the environment, and fostering sustainable practices in the UAE.
Ahmed Al Yafei, CEO of Etihad Rail Infrastructure, stressed the significance of waste management services in fulfilling environmental obligations.
He expressed confidence in Beeah Tandeef’s capabilities, citing its successful record of accomplishment in the UAE. Al Yafei underscored the agreement’s role in advancing towards a low-carbon future and supporting local waste management strategies.

In addition to environmental benefits, the agreement aims to reduce waste and harmful emissions, mitigate adverse effects on ecosystems, and promote material recovery and recycling. Circular economy principles will be applied to specific waste, further enhancing sustainability.
