F&B Group set to host Future Food Forum 2024
From October 2 to 3 in Dubai
The UAE Food & Beverage Business Group (F&B Group), under the patronage of the UAE Ministry of Economy and in partnership with the Dubai Chamber, will host the Future Food Forum 2024 from October 2 to 3 at Le Méridien Dubai Hotel & Conference Centre.
This year marks the sixth iteration of the event, a testament to the UAE’s commitment to becoming a global leader in food innovation and sustainability.
The Future Food Forum 2024 promises to be the largest gathering of UAE food and beverage executives and policymakers. It will address evolving consumption patterns and foster holistic health and well-being in the region.
With the GCC food and beverage market projected to reach $128.2 billion by 2029, the Forum will play a pivotal role in advancing the UAE’s cluster strategy, which has the theme ‘Future Consumer, Future Government, and Future Food.’
Launched at last year’s Forum by UAE Minister of Economy Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri, this strategy aims to increase the UAE food sector’s GDP contribution by $10 billion and create 20,000 jobs, remaining central to the UAE’s food and agricultural transformation roadmap.
Key stakeholders
Industry leaders, government officials, and academics will gather at Future Food Forum 2024 to discuss innovative technologies, sustainable practices, and collaborative strategies shaping the future of food production. FoodTech Valley will be an organising partner, with support from the Abu Dhabi Food Hub and DP World.
“Future Food Forum continues to serve as a platform for collaboration in the future of the food industry,” said Saleh Lootah, Chairman of F&B Group. “This year’s edition is even bigger, hosting stakeholders from both public and private sectors to build on the UAE government’s key pillars aimed at increasing the food sector’s GDP contribution and Emirati participation.”
The Future Food Forum has established itself as a crucial platform for policy dialogue within the food and beverage sector. It facilitates meaningful discussions on emerging topics such as Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR), sustainability, digital transformation, and the increasing importance of ‘free from’ products.
This year’s Forum will feature the ‘Foodverse,’ a metaverse-based platform tailored for the food sector. This platform will enhance B2B interactions, product presentations, and networking opportunities.
The ‘Free From Food Dubai’ exhibition will showcase organic, vegan, and healthy food industry innovations. It will also feature specialised panel discussions and presentations, highlighting the engagement between government and industry.
As the UAE aims to position itself at the forefront of the global food and beverage industry, Future Food Forum 2024 will serve as a vital platform for learning best practices and driving transformative change in the food sector.
