Healthcare professionals, including IVF specialists, obstetricians, gynaecologists, and embryologists, from across the Middle East have gathered in Dubai City to participate in the 5th HealthPlus Middle East Fertility Conference at The Address Dubai Marina from September 1 to 3, 2023.
The industry event is the biggest annual fertility conference in the region, with numerous sessions and workshops focusing on advancing knowledge, sharing best practices, and fostering collaboration.
Organised by HealthPlus Fertility, a Mubadala Health partner, the conference also aims to address the latest developments and challenges in fertility treatments and reproductive medicine.
With the main aim of improving women’s reproductive healthcare, the three-day event is being held under the theme: Preserving Hope and Empowering Fertility Choices.
Safeya Al Maqtari, Deputy Group Chief Operations Officer at M42, a global tech-enabled healthcare leader, delivered the keynote speech on September 1.

He added that the condition has various associated connotations, including a negative body image, social stigma, infertility, and pregnancy losses.
September 2 topics at the conference include fertility preservation, infertility, genetics and stem cell therapy, and new frontiers in embryology.
Debate sessions
Debate sessions include social egg freezing for unmarried women between 30 and 35 years and Artificial Intelligence in assisted reproductive technology.
September 3 sees workshops on ovarian tissue cryopreservation – transplantation, fetal surveillance, colposcopy, aesthetic gynaecology, and an experiential workshop for IVF procedures.
