Global Indian International School Returns with 7Th Edition of Al-Tasamuh

Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, 14th November 2022:  Global Indian International School (GIIS), Abu Dhabi recently concluded its annual Al-Tasamuh event – a celebration to promote peace, compassion, and forgiveness. This year marked the 7th edition of Al Tasamuh, and included a wide range of competitions including dance, music, linguistics, art and STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts & Mathematics).

“”Congratulations to all our students and teachers who have worked so hard to make this event a success. It is, indeed, an honour to organize this prestigious event in person after two years of online celebration. This year also marks 20 years for Global Schools Foundation, an incredible milestone for us. We are delighted to celebrate by encouraging students to tap into their talents and showcase them while fostering a spirit of healthy competition. “ stated Dr Heena Rachh, Principal, GIIS, AUH.

The event was a great success where over 600 students from different schools participated with great enthusiasm. This is a testament to the growing popularity of Al Tasamuh and the importance that GIIS Abu Dhabi places on encouraging students to explore their talents.

Students showcased incredible performances that truly demonstrated their impressive talents and creativity. This year’s event was won by GIIS Abu Dhabi, followed closely by Abu Dhabi Indian School Al Wathba in second place and Abu Dhabi Indian School Muroor taking the third position. Overall, it was an amazing display of creativity, energy, and skill from talented young individuals across schools in the region!

The philosophy followed by GIIS recognizes that education should be holistic and that it is imperative to equip students with the virtues needed for becoming conscientious, creative, and compassionate citizens of the world. Events like Al Tasamuh help children to develop these skills by participating in competitive and collaborative displays of talent with students from other schools.
