HBMSU fosters digital-first future of higher education at ‘Digital Universities MENA 2022’

14 September 2022Hamdan Bin Mohammed Smart University (HBMSU) participated in the ‘Digital Universities MENA 2022’ as Association Partner to discuss various prospects for shaping a technology-oriented higher education for a digital-first future.

Prof. Moustafa Hassan, Vice-chancellor of international cooperation, participated in the panel titled ‘Designing a Benchmarking Framework for Online, Open, Smart, and Technology-oriented Higher Education’, that focused on how the Benchmarking Framework can support universities in the region to improve education quality and the continuity of higher education. Prof. Moustafa Hassan highlighted that the Benchmarking Framework offers new approaches for quality assurance and assessment of online, open and smart higher education to reflect the advantages of online education, including its flexibility and relevance.

The Benchmarking Framework for online, open, smart, and technology-enhanced higher education is among the cutting-edge projects initiated by HBMSU that help shape ‘smart’ education models for the future and further equip the next generation to thrive in a digital-first world.
