IDC to show META businesses how to prepare customers for the AI era
Industry event being held in Dubai on February 1, 2024
Tech vendors, resellers, regulators, and service providers across the Middle East, Turkey and Africa (META) region will receive key messages, outlooks, and predictions for the global and regional tech markets for 2024 and beyond when International Data Corporation (IDC) hosts ‘IDC Directions META 2024’ on February 1, 2024, at The Ritz-Carlton, DIFC, Dubai City.
Curated to provide regional businesses with ways to prepare customers for an AI everywhere era, the by-invitation in-person event will examine developing tech markets in the META region, which are spearheaded by territorial expansion ambitions, customer experience transformation, digital-native disruption and a shift to sustainability.
Need to go digital
According to the event organiser, digitally enabled products/services and digital business models, cloud-centric and scalable infrastructure, cloud-native modern applications, data-driven intelligence architectures, advanced security and digital trust, and smart connectivity are increasingly compelling enterprises to become digital-first organisations.
GenAI spending is expected to reach $151.1 billion by the 2027 era, accounting for 29% of total AI spending globally, according to an IDC report released in December 2023.
In the META region, genAI also increases investment in the ongoing AI era, cemented by a growing appetite for AI-related infrastructure, software platforms, and services to support evolving use cases across organisations.
As AI becomes pervasive, tech providers in the META region must adapt their portfolios and go-to-market strategies to reflect suitable customer messages, IDC noted ahead of its February 1 event. The transformation is not only driving financial investments but also necessitates a strategic shift for tech providers. With the increasing integration of AI across various industries, there is a need for these providers to align their offerings with the changing landscape.
As organisations cater to a market with a growing demand for AI-related solutions, adapting portfolios and go-to-market strategies becomes crucial for staying relevant and meeting the evolving needs of organisations embracing AI technologies.
