Following this, Dr Aleksei Minin from Deloitte will present a keynote discussion on how AI revolutionises competition, governance, and decision-making in a rapidly changing world. Breakout sessions
As the summit progresses, participants will engage in breakout sessions focusing on specific use cases of the Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC). 3.7% growth in Q3 2024
Despite facing a negative impact of approximately $1.2 million from foreign currency exchange rates, Informatica’s revenues for Q3 2024 reflected a modest 3.7% growth when adjusted for these fluctuations.
A major highlight was the surge in subscription revenues, which grew by 10% year-over-year to $287.9 million. Within this category, cloud subscription revenue experienced a remarkable 37% increase, totalling $175.8 million and accounting for 61% of overall subscription revenues.
This growth contributed to an annualised recurring revenue (ARR) of $1.68 billion, a 6.7% increase from the previous year. Specifically, cloud subscription ARR saw a significant boost, climbing 36% year-over-year to $748 million.
Amit Walia, Informatica’s CEO, said the company’s successful execution of its cloud-centric strategy, driven by heightened demand for its Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC) platform, was responsible for the revenue growth for the period under review.
He also highlighted a historic milestone: processing over 101 trillion monthly cloud transactions, a 42% increase compared to last year’s third quarter. Walia stated that this accomplishment underlines Informatica’s unwavering commitment to product innovation and its strategic positioning to assist enterprises in leveraging AI for enhanced data management, instilling confidence in the audience about its future direction.
Financial metrics from the quarter revealed a GAAP operating income of $50.9 million and a non-GAAP operating income of $151 million, indicating solid operational performance.
The GAAP operating margin improved significantly, rising 430 basis points to 12.1%, while the non-GAAP operating margin increased by 450 basis points to 35.8% compared to the prior year. The company also reported a GAAP operating cash flow of $106.5 million and an adjusted unlevered free cash flow (after-tax) of $144 million.
In terms of customer engagement, Informatica reported an increase in high-value clients, with 264 customers spending over $1 million in subscription ARR, an 18% increase year-over-year.
Furthermore, the number of customers spending over $100,000 rose to 2,074, representing a 5% growth. The company achieved impressive cloud subscription net retention rates of 120% at the end-user level and 126% at the global parent level.
Informatica’s innovative efforts continued with the expansion of its partnership with Oracle. It announced the general availability of IDMC platform services for Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. This includes cloud data governance and cataloguing tools, enhancing users’ data management capabilities. Additionally, Informatica introduced Gen AI blueprints for various cloud ecosystems designed to streamline AI development and implementation processes.
The company also marked the 20th anniversary of its Innovation Labs in Bangalore, India, reflecting its long-standing commitment to research and development. As Informatica continues to advance in cloud data management, its results for Q3 2024 highlight not only robust financial performance but also a commitment to innovation and customer satisfaction.
