Jadwa Investment Awarded Best Asset Manager at Saudi Capital Market Forum
Riyadh, Saudi Arabia — Jadwa Investment, a leading investment management and advisory firm in the Middle East, was awarded Best Asset Manager for 2022 as part of the Saudi Capital Market Awards announced at the Saudi Capital Market Forum yesterday. The award was presented by Eng. Khalid Abdullah Al-Hussan, CEO of Saudi Tadawul Group, and received by Tariq Al-Sudairy, Managing Director and CEO of Jadwa Investment.
2022 was a noteworthy year of business achievements for Jadwa. The firm’s managed funds and mandates delivered net outperformance of +1.23% to +15.64% relative to benchmarks across all of its local and regional public equity strategies. Jadwa also launched a series of multi-asset class funds and international alternatives funds, giving clients greater access to an expanding spectrum of markets and asset classes. In addition, Jadwa closed the year with the divestment of its stake in Saudi Aramco Base Oil Company (Luberef) through a SAR 5 billion initial public offering on the Saudi Exchange, one of the country’s largest IPOs since Saudi Aramco.
The Saudi Capital Market Awards, now in their third year, are organized by the Saudi Stock Exchange to honor distinguished market participants who are championing the development of the Saudi capital market across a variety of practice areas. Recipients are selected by an independent review committee comprising industry professionals from CFA Society Saudi Arabia and the Middle East Investor Relations Association (MEIRA). The Best Asset Manager award is given to the firm that shows the best record of accomplishment and investment performance.
Tariq Al-Sudairy commented: “We are delighted to be recognized on the national stage for our investment outperformance. By putting our clients first and focusing on long-term value creation, we have sought to construct our distinctive track record step by step over the last sixteen years. We are grateful to our clients for their continued trust, and to the Saudi Exchange for their leadership in developing Saudi Arabia’s capital market.”
Faisal Al-Rayes, Managing Director and Head of Asset Management, added: “This award validates our strategic discipline and our fundamentals-based investment philosophy. It is also a reflection of Jadwa’s ability to build and retain a strong investment team in a highly competitive environment.”
Jadwa’s public equity offerings comprise regional funds (including a Saudi equity fund, GCC equity fund, and Arab markets equity fund), international funds (including a US equity fund, developed markets equity fund, and emerging markets equity fund), and wide range of segregated mandates. The firm also offers private equity, real estate, private credit, fixed income, and money market investments. In addition, Jadwa’s investment advisory practice offers both discretionary and non-discretionary advisory services, which enable clients to develop and implement customized asset allocation strategies that cater to their unique investment objectives.
In addition to being awarded Best Asset Manager for 2022 by Saudi Capital Market Awards, Jadwa was awarded Best Global Islamic Equity Group, Best MENA Equity Group, Best MENA Equity Fund, Best GCC Equity Fund, and Best Saudi Equity Fund for 2022 by Lipper.
