Inaugural event focuses on the Middle East logistics sector
The inaugural edition of ‘Landmarks In Logistics KSA Summit 2023’ is set to be held at the InterContinental Jeddah on September 6, 2023, as Saudi Arabia moves into pole position as a global logistics and supply chain hub spearheaded by its excellent rail, air, sea, and land infrastructure.
Organised by UAE-based Logistics Gulf News in association with the Saudi Arabia-headquartered Supply Chain & Procurement Society, Landmarks In Logistics KSA Summit 2023 will focus on the fast-growing Saudi and Middle East logistics industry, which is ramping up efforts to enhance logistics and supply chain efficiencies while also transitioning to sustainable and cost-effective technologies.

Keen to examine the critical aspects of their industry, attendees at Logistics KSA Summit 2023 will comprise logistics and supply chain professionals, regional policymakers, and government entities.
Sector focus
The event’s participants expect to network during the day-long trade event to identify solutions to the key challenges that the regional logistics industry faces, explore business opportunities in new and upcoming projects, learn about digitalisation, green logistics, mobility, ports, freight and cargo, technology, supply chain procurement and other relevant aspects.
To meet the goals of Saudi Vision 2030, the Saudi Ministry of Transport & Logistics Services (MoTLS) has unveiled a masterplan that seeks to develop and enhance Saudi Arabis’ rail, road, maritime and aviation sectors while addressing the increasing global demand for cost-effective, safe, efficient, and sustainable logistics and supply chain services.
Tremendous growth
According to the MoTLS, Saudi Arabia’s logistics and supply chain market is projected to reach AED56.21 billion (SAR57.4 billion) by 2023.
The sector contributes an average of 6% to the vast GCC country’s annual GDP.
This figure is expected to rise to 10% by 2030 after new mega logistics and supply chain projects come online in the country.
