MBRAH and ATS Technic to set up MRO facility in Dubai South
Facility to cater to VIP aircraft
In a significant move to bolster the aviation sector in the United Arab Emirates, the Dubai-based Mohammed Bin Rashid Aerospace Hub (MBRAH) has signed a strategic agreement with ATS Technic, the first independent EASA maintenance organisation in the UAE, to establish a cutting-edge MRO facility at Dubai South.
Tahnoon Saif, CEO of MBRAH, and Mahdi Altahaineh, CEO of ATS Technic, signed the agreement.
Under the terms of the agreement, ATS Technic, renowned as the premier provider of line maintenance and logistics services for various aircraft types, will set up a 12,000-square-metre facility at Dubai South.
This new hub will deliver EASA Part 145-approved maintenance services, cabin upgrades, and top-tier refurbishments for VIP aircraft.
2025 opening
The hangar, capable of simultaneously accommodating multiple narrow-body family aircraft types, is slated for completion by 2025.
Tahnoon Saif said, “We are delighted to formalise this partnership with ATS Technic, which will bring premium line maintenance and technical services to a global clientele.
“This collaboration emphasises our commitment to attracting key aviation industry players to establish their presence at Dubai South, creating an environment for seamless international connectivity.
“We are dedicated to supporting ATS Technic’s expansion initiatives, reinforcing Dubai’s prominent position on the global aviation stage.”
Mahdi Altahaineh echoed the sentiment, highlighting the strategic significance of the UAE’s independent MRO infrastructure in the region’s burgeoning aviation sector.
He pointed out that the Middle East is poised to receive over 3,000 new commercial aircraft by 2042, as per Boeing CMO data. Recognising the UAE as the largest aviation hub in the Arab world, Altahaineh expressed gratitude for MBRAH’s support in realising ATS Technic’s growth plans.
MBRAH, situated within the Dubai South development, is a global aerospace platform serving airlines, private jet companies, MROs, and related industries.
With a focus on strengthening engineering capabilities, MBRAH houses maintenance centres, training facilities, and education campuses.
