Oppo and UEFA extend partnership for 3 new seasons

Matchday Phone unveiled in Madrid

Oppo has renewed its official smartphone product partnership with the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) for the next three seasons.

The renewed collaboration includes several UEFA competitions, including the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Super Cup, UEFA Futsal Champions League finals, and the UEFA Youth League finals.

The announcement was made at an event in Madrid, Spain, attended by Billy Zhang, President of Overseas Marketing, Sales and Service at Oppo, and Guy-Laurent Epstein, Marketing Director at UEFA, and football star Iker Casillas Fernández.

Zhang stated: “Our collaboration with UEFA has proven to be a perfect match, enhancing fan experiences through Oppo’s advanced imaging and AI technologies. We are excited to deepen this partnership, bringing football closer to fans and supporting young players globally.”

Epstein highlighted the positive impact of Oppo’s technology over the past two seasons. He said: “Oppo’s smartphones have elevated the UEFA Champions League experience with superior imaging capabilities. We are eager to continue this partnership and further engage fans with the passion of football.”

Thanks to its expertise in mobile imaging, Oppo used the event in Madrid to introduce the Matchday phone. The phone allows football fans to capture vivid and detailed moments of football matches from their seats in stadium stands.

The company will also continue to innovate with AI technologies, such as AI Studio and AI Eraser, to further enrich fans’ football experiences.

In addition to technological advancements, Oppo is committed to sports philanthropy, launching youth football development programmes in Spain, Mexico, Egypt, and China. These initiatives aim to support and inspire young footballers and community clubs, continuing Oppo’s dedication to the global football community.

With the renewed partnership, Oppo and UEFA plan to offer fans even more opportunities to enjoy football and witness the excitement of UEFA competitions through cutting-edge mobile phone technology.
