Prime Video has unveiled the official trailer for the new three-part series The Continental: From the World of John Wick, the three-part prequel series that explores the origin story behind the iconic hotel-for-assassins from the John Wick universe.

The official trailer transports audiences back to the 1970s and gives a sneak peek into an exclusive hotel.

With the first episode releasing on September 22, 2023, and episodes launching weekly after that, the series will explore the origin behind the iconic hotel-for-assassins, which is the centrepiece of the John Wick universe.

The Continental is a chain of hotels worldwide that serve as a neutral ground for members of the underworld; the hotel workers of the Continental try to handle the hitmen and murderers who come to stay.

The series must be seen through the eyes of a young Winston Scott as he is dragged into the hellscape of 1970s New York City to face a past he thought he had left behind.

Winston charts a deadly course through a hotel’s mysterious underworld in a harrowing attempt to seize the hotel where he will eventually take his throne.

The Continental: From the World of John Wick is produced by Lionsgate Television.

A unique look into the early days of New York’s most notorious hotel for assassins, the series stars Colin Woodell, Mel Gibson, Michelle Prada, Ben Robson, Hubert Point-Du Jour, Nhung Kate, Jessica Allain, Ayomide Adegun, Jeremy Bobb and Peter Greene. 

The Continental: From the World of John Wick is directed by Albert Hughes and Charlotte Brandstrom and developed and written by Greg Coolidge, Kirk Ward, and Shawn Simmons.
