PSA Dubai announces new football partnership

PSA are proud to announce our partnership with another Women’s football club in India, namely Sethu F. C from Madurai, Tamil Nadu, while we also have a previous partnership with Sirvodem F.C. Goa. Both teams will be taking part in the upcoming Indian Women’s League (IWL) commencing in April 2022.

The partnership further strengthens PSA’s key objective in promoting girl’s football in the UAE. PSA & SFC agree to exchange players and coaches to help them develop in their careers. PSA will be recommending deserving female players from UAE/GCC (any nationality) to play for one of these clubs in the State League or IWL.

Lenny Fernandes, CEO, PSA said ‘PSA has achieved a milestone in India, by being able to tie up with 2 reputed clubs taking part in the upcoming Indian Women’s League (IWL). The next step is to form a formidable women’s football team in the UAE and partake in all the major local tournaments. Simultaneously PSA would, like to provide job opportunities to our players in the UAE where they can ‘Live, Work and Play.’

Franky Barreto, Academy Director PSA and former India International player said ‘Our aim is to support Indian football develop as a whole in whatever small way we can, these partnerships will create a great opportunity for the female football players in the UAE to play at the highest level in India and motivate more girls taking football seriously in the UAE’.

We welcome our partners with a collaborative spirit and look forward to develop female football talent together.
