Saudi national arrested for setting vehicles on fire

Another man who filmed the incident was referred to Public Prosecution

Abu Dhabi: A Saudi man, in his 20s, was arrested and referred to the Public Prosecution for setting a number of vehicles ablaze in Makkah, police said.

The man was acting abnormally and set the vehicles afire, explained Major Mohammad Al Ghamidi, spokesperson of the Makkah Police.

Al Ghamidi said another man who filmed the incident and posted a video clip of it on social media was also referred to the Public Prosecution.

The duo are remanded in custody pending trial, Al Ghamidi said.
