Skaya Art unveils its new art season with Ukrainian artist Yana Rusnak
Exhibition in Dubai City is from September 6 to October 9, 2023
Skaya Art Agency, the Dubai-based boutique art consultancy, is launching its new art season in collaboration with ME Dubai, the first ME by Meliá hotel project in the Middle East designed by the late architect Dame Zaha Hadid.
As part of the new season, Skaya Art Agency will present the Art in Shades of Gold exhibition by the Ukrainian artist Yana Rusnak from September 6 to October 9, 2023.
The exhibition, part of ME Dubai’s cultural connections initiative, will be hosted in ME Dubai’s Art Gallery at The Opus by Omniyat, ME Dubai hotel, Al Amal Street, Business Bay, Dubai City.
Admission to the month-long exhibition is free for the public.
Rusnak’s artwork blends vibrant animalism and abstract elements, symbolising human ambition and life-affirming energy.
Contemporary artist
Born in 1993, Rusnak is a renowned contemporary artist. Her paintings are allegories of how human emotions and characters intertwine with the animal world.
Rusnak’s work uses bold and geometric shapes, vivid colours and prominent triangles, symbolising balance, harmony, tension, conflict, integration, subjectivity, and manifestation.
Each of the artist’s triangle’s sharp angles and dynamic lines create a sense of movement and energy, conveying celestial radiance and nature.
The artist’s triangle symbol is also inseparable from the number three, denoting symmetry, understanding and the birth of true wisdom.
Rusnak’s paintings include gold and silver colours. Gold represents splendour, the radiance of the sun, and the precious quality of non-deterioration.
At the same time, silver symbolises the moon’s colour and signifies values of innocence, purity, and mercy.
Contemporary animalism
By utilising the best traditions of contemporary animalism to create a ‘Dialogue with the Universe’, the Ukrainian artist, 30, alludes to the elements of music, light, nature, and the galaxy, revealing glimpses of human aspirations and life-affirming energy.
Moreover, Yana’s masterpieces contain a precious gold nugget reflecting her intricate artistry.

Zaha Hadid work
ME Dubai is the name of The Opus by Omniyat building in Dubai City. This is the only hotel project where the late architect Dame Zaha Hadid personally designed the interiors and exteriors.
