Dubai’s Gold Souk Extension now allows eligible shoppers to win a unique 24K gold-plated Tesla Cybertruck, which is now on public display and fast becoming a photo opportunity for curious onlookers!
Shoppers who spend AED500 or more at select gold and jewellery outlets at the Gold Souk Extension from November 14 to December 29, 2024, can enter a raffle draw to win the coveted Cybertruck with its iconic 24K gold-plated finish. Every AED500 spent receives one raffle entry.
The Dubai Gold Souk and its extension typically see gold and jewellery buyers patronising its 300+ stores during multicultural festivals in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), including Diwali, Christmas, and Eid, when people usually splurge on the precious yellow metal, diamonds, and other precious stones.
A standard steel-plated Tesla Cybertruck typically costs AED302,466 to AED376,224 in the UAE, depending on the trim and options. The gold-plated one costs more.
Initially unveiled as a concept in 2019, the futuristic electric pickup truck entered production in late 2023. With its sharp, angular design, which breaks away from traditional vehicle styling, the Cybertruck is a head-turner increasingly seen at trade and lifestyle exhibitions across the UAE. Its exoskeleton and bulletproof-like ‘armour glass’ are key features, giving it a distinctly robust and unorthodox look.
The Cybertruck delivers a unique electric driving experience. Its acceleration is a standout, with Tesla claiming 0-60mph times as low as 2.9 seconds for the tri-motor version. The truck also boasts impressive utility, with a bed measuring just over six feet, offering ample space for gear, be it gold bullion or other cargo.
Despite its polarising aesthetics, the Cybertruck is getting attention for its technological innovation. Its all-electric drivetrain, large battery pack, and integration with Tesla’s Autopilot technology make it a powerful competitor in the electric truck market.
