Sports stars descend on 2024 Hankook London E-Prix

This weekend, the Hankook London E-Prix drew a constellation of sports and entertainment luminaries to its electrifying circuit.
The London E-Prix electrifies the capital’s streets, blending speed and sustainability in a thrilling showcase of Formula E racing. Amidst iconic landmarks, electric cars hum through hairpin turns, demonstrating cutting-edge technology and eco-friendly performance. Spectators cheer as drivers navigate the challenging circuit, highlighting the future of motorsport in urban settings.
Among the prominent figures in attendance were Ivorian football legend Didier Drogba, former boxer David Haye, and current boxing sensations Tommy Fury and Viddal Riley.
The event, which marks the championship-deciding finale of Formula E’s season 10, also featured a captivating pre-race performance by singer Ella Henderson.
The atmosphere at the London E-Prix was electric as celebrities and athletes immersed themselves in the world of motorsport.
Didier Drogba, accompanied by FIA Formula E safety driver Bruno Correia, experienced the thrill of the track firsthand during an exhilarating ‘electric lap’ in the FIA Formula E Safety Car.
Drogba also had the opportunity to explore Nissan’s private garage and inspect the cutting-edge GEN3 all-electric race car up close.
Meanwhile, David Haye was welcomed into the Andretti Garage, where he exchanged greetings with current ABB FIA Formula E World Champion Jack Dennis before embarking on his electrifying lap around the circuit.
Tommy Fury and Viddal Riley, both rising stars in the boxing world, added to the excitement from the exclusive Formula E VIP hospitality area, the Emotion Club. The duo were joined by British Paralympian Richard Whitehead MBE and Olympic gymnast Nile Wilson, who were equally enthralled by the high-octane action.
The event’s entertainment lineup kicked off in style with a performance by singer Ella Henderson on July 20, with anticipation building for Craig David’s headline performance on July 21, on the final day of the championship races.
