The Sparkle Foundation, a grassroots charity first registered in the United Kingdom (2015), Malawi (2016), and the United Arab Emirates (2021) under Dubai Humanitarian, announces the launch of its Back to-School campaign – ‘Empower a child, transform a community’. The impactful initiative creatively encompasses a community drive, aimed at raising a minimum of AED 4,000 through a creative art project in Dubai.
Under the theme, ‘Empower a child, transform a community’, Sparkle’s Back-to School campaign aims to curate an art installation using over 200 fingerprints from the people of Dubai. Residents and visitors can support the worthy cause by adding their fingerprint to the installation, demonstrating their solidarity in making a significant impact on the lives of children in Malawi, where access to quality education remains a critical challenge. People can positively impact the lives of Malawian children with a minimum donation of AED 20 to sponsor education and essential needs such as school supplies, stationary. The art installation is currently at centre stage at The Garden Concept, the location of The Sparkle Foundation’s office.
Following this, the canvas will be displayed at various schools and businesses across The Sparkle Foundation’s partners in Dubai, including Al Tayer Stocks, Cognita, ATPI, SK Football Academy, Q Communications Dubai, and Clifford Chance.
Proceeds from the campaign fund will contribute to various programmes within the organisation. The impactful community project symbolises the Dubai community’s commitment to making a difference in the world. The Foundation plans to raffle or auction off the artwork to further support its initiatives in Malawi.
The Sparkle Foundation invites the community to join its mission. Visit their website at https://www.thesparklefoundation.org/ to learn more about their work and ways to get involved.
