Despite being right handed
Princess Diana’s bags have long been a topic of conversation. From inspiring high end designs (such as Dior’s iconic Lady Dior style) to popularising the idea of ‘cleavage bags’ (positioned over the Princess’ décolletage to avoid any awkward photos as she climbed out of cars), Diana’s purses were more than just places to store her keys and lipstick. And it turns out there’s another important detail to note about her bags, specifically, how she carried them.
More often than not, the Princess of Wales was seen holding a clutch or top handle bag in her left hand. This is far from a coincidence, though, especially considering Diana was right handed. So why did she do it?
