World-Class CSI5* Showjumping Returns to Al Forsan International Sports Resort

The excitement is building as Al Forsan International Sports Resort prepares to host the Longines League of Nations™ qualifier on the 15th of February 2025 for the second year running.

The qualifier is part of the highly anticipated Emirates Jumping Cup, an elite show jumping festival that will take place from the 12th to 15th of February 2025 in the heart of Abu Dhabi. Featuring four days of top-class equestrian sport, the event boasts a prize fund of over €1.3 million and will welcome Olympic-level international riders competing for glory in the UAE capital.

The action kicks off at 08:00 on Wednesday, 12th February, with two CSI2* classes—the Al Forsan International Sports Resort Cup and the Abu Dhabi Sports Council Classic Qualifier—followed by the first of the CSIO5* LLN classes, the Al Shira’aa Welcome Stakes. The CSIJ-A UAEERF Junior Stakes follows, before the day’s final class, the CSIO5* Grand Prix Qualifier, featuring a €105,500 prize fund.

On Thursday, the competition continues with the CSI2* Fatima Bint Mubarak Speed Stakes and Abu Dhabi Sports Council Cup and the CSICh-A Cavalor Children’s Stakes. The 5* competition gets underway at 15:30 with the LLN UAE Equestrian Federation Speed Stakes. It culminates with the CSIO5* LLN Emirates Jumping Cup presented by Longines, a two-round 160cm class, where riders will vie for a share of €308,600.

Friday’s schedule shines a spotlight on the future stars of show jumping, with dedicated Children’s and Junior classes from 08:00. The CSI2* Abu Dhabi Sports Council Classic 135cm class and the highly anticipated CSI2* Longines Grand Prix final, starting at 15:30, will round out the day.

Saturday, 15th February, marks the grand finale. The CSIO5* LLN Al Shira’aa Challenge Winning Round over a 150cm course begins at 08:30, leading up to the ultimate test of team strength and strategy—the Longines League of Nations™ class at 16:00. Featuring the top ten teams on the Longines League of Nations™ Ranking, alongside the UAE team, competitors will battle over a demanding 160cm course for a share of the mammoth €700,000 purse.

Beyond the world-class competition, the Emirates Jumping Cup offers a vibrant festival atmosphere with entertainment and activities for the whole family.

Spectators will be treated to breathtaking equestrian displays by Z7 Show Horses on Thursday and Saturday, featuring thrilling performances that highlight the artistry and athleticism of both horse and rider. These awe-inspiring displays will demonstrate the deep bond between horse and rider, captivating audiences with precision and skill.

The event will also celebrate Emirati heritage with traditional performances, live music, and cultural demonstrations. Visitors will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the rich history of the region, experiencing the beauty of its customs and traditions firsthand.

For families, the dedicated Family Village area offers a range of fun-filled activities and attractions, including equestrian-themed arts and crafts, a rodeo horse for the adventurous, a ball pit and a petting zoo. This lively space ensures an engaging and enjoyable experience for visitors of all ages.

The event starts at 08:00 each day and is open to all with free general admission.
