Yango Group launches new features for Yasmina AI assistant

For Ramadan 2025
Yango Group, a global leader in tech innovation, has launched a range of new features for its AI assistant, Yasmina, in time for Ramadan 2025.
These enhancements, available on a suite of Yasmina smart speakers, include over 30 new Quran reciter voices, specialised Ramadan content, and charming bedtime stories for children. The update aims to help bring families closer together and enrich the user experience during this sacred time.
One of the most anticipated additions to Yasmina for Ramadan 2025 is the expanded selection of Quran recitations. With more than 30 distinct voices from some of the world’s most renowned Quran reciters, including Mishary Rashid Al-Afasy, Abdul Basit Muhammad Abdul Samad, and Yasir al-Dawsari, users will have an enriched listening experience during the holy month.
Whether users prefer to listen to the entire Quran or a specific Surah, the AI assistant seamlessly facilitates this with simple voice commands. For instance, users can say, “Yasmina, play Surah At-Tawbah,” the smart speaker will instantly begin the recitation.
In addition to Quran recitations, Yasmina offers a range of tailored features designed to support spiritual growth during Ramadan. The AI assistant can now play Ayat Al-Siyam, the daily Ramadan Duas, and other relevant prayers in Arabic and English. To access these, users can say, “Yasmina, play Ramadan Dua” or “ياسمينة، شغلي أدعية رمضانية,” in Arabic.
Yasmina also provides daily tips to foster mindfulness and well-being throughout Ramadan. These reminders encourage users to reflect, helping them embrace the spirit of the holy month. To hear the day’s tip, users can ask, “Yasmina, what is your Ramadan advice for today?” or “ياسمينة، أيش نصيحة رمضان لليوم؟” for an Arabic response.
Another essential feature during Ramadan is Yasmina’s ability to provide accurate Islamic prayer times for any location worldwide. Whether in the GCC or beyond, the smart speaker knows the precise prayer schedule for any city and can offer reminders with a simple voice command.
For example, users can say, “Yasmina, remind me of Fajr today,” to ensure they never miss a prayer during this fasting and devotion period.

Ramadan is a time for family, and Yasmina has a unique feature for the youngest members of the household. The smart assistant can play bedtime stories in Arabic and English, creating an atmosphere of relaxation and bonding before sleep.
Parents can request stories like “Yasmina, play bedtime stories for children” in English, or “ياسمينة، شغّلي قصص للنوم” in Arabic. In English, Yasmina can play classics such as Puss in Boots, while in Arabic, it offers stories from Shamandar, a popular children’s podcast brand. These culturally relevant tales add a special touch to bedtime during Ramadan.
For further convenience, Yasmina can also automatically shut down after a set period. This feature allows users to set their smart speakers to turn off after playing prayers, stories, or Quran recitations. A simple voice command, “Yasmina, turn off the device after half an hour,” activates this hands-free function, enhancing the overall user experience.
“Ramadan is a time for reflection, family, and community,” said Rami Abu Arja, Senior Innovation Marketing Manager at Yasmina, Yango Group Middle East.
“As we embrace this holy month, Yasmina stands ready to ease the daily lives of families across the GCC with its intelligent and culturally aware features. Whether it’s helping adults deepen their spiritual practice or lulling children to sleep with bedtime stories, Yasmina is here to help.”
Yasmina, built into a range of smart speakers including Yasmina Midi, Yasmina Mini, Yasmina Max, and Yasmina Lite, is a culturally aware AI assistant capable of engaging in intelligent, human-like conversations in Arabic and English.
Powered by a proprietary large language model (LLM), Yasmina assists users in decision-making, generating ideas, and clarifying complex concepts. With these new updates, Yasmina is a valuable companion for users throughout Ramadan.
