2025 Lotus Emeya hyper-GT streaks into UAE

Pricing begins at AED439,000

Lotus Cars has officially launched the Emeya, its first fully electric four-door hyper-GT, in the UAE market. The model unveiled with the tagline – #ForTheDrivers – sets a new standard for Lotus driving experiences, drawing on the British marque’s 75 years of expertise in engineering and design.

The Emeya encapsulates the balance of emotion, logic, power, and precision while integrating the brand’s sports car DNA into a four-door luxury vehicle. The name ‘Emeya’ reflects Lotus’s ambition and commitment to this innovative car, which is part of its vision to establish itself as a global performance brand by 2028.

Making its public debut at Bulgari Yacht Club in Dubai City on September 17, 2024, the all-new 2025 Emeya sets a new standard in the GT (grand tourer) segment. It features advanced active aerodynamic components such as an active front grille, rear diffuser, and spoiler.

Equipped with an electronically controlled air suspension system that adapts to road conditions 1,000 times per second, the Emeya boasts a high-power dual motor setup. It accelerates from 0 to 100km/h in under 2.8 seconds, making it one of the fastest electric GTs in the world. Its top speed exceeds 250km/h.

Rapid charging

In addition to its unique performance, the Emeya merges extraordinary performance with emotional design and luxury refinement and addresses practical concerns with rapid charging capabilities.

A 400-kW (600A capable) DC fast charger delivers 310km of range in just ten minutes. It boosts the battery from 10% to 80% in 14 minutes, reducing time spent at charging stations and making the Emeya one of the fastest-charging EVs available today.

The powerful, efficient, and refined all-electric power train delivers the perfect balance of performance, responsiveness, and range—with a maximum WLTP range of 610km.

Sustainability is also a core focus; the Emeya is crafted with eco-friendly materials, including a new luxury thread made from repurposed fashion industry fibres, alongside Nappa leather and Ultrafabrics PU. This commitment aims to reduce the vehicle’s overall carbon footprint.

Luxurious interior

Inside, the Emeya offers a luxurious and technologically advanced environment, featuring an intuitive infotainment system and a high-quality audio setup from KEF. Innovative sound cancellation technology ensures an immersive driving experience, while sustainable materials like repurposed cotton fibres enhance the interior’s luxury without compromising eco-friendliness.

Flagship model

The Emeya is set to be the flagship model in Lotus’s lineup of luxury EVs. It is part of a broader strategy to evolve into a global performance brand by 2028.

Prices (UAE) for the all-new Emeya start from AED439,000 ($120,000), including VAT. The first deliveries are scheduled for Q4 2024. Dubai-headquartered Adamas Motors is the official Lotus Cars dealer in the UAE and Bahrain.

The all-new Emeya premiered globally on September 7, 2024, in Manhattan, New York City. Feng Qingfeng, CEO of Lotus Group, emphasised Lotus’ commitment to combining its 75 years of engineering excellence with cutting-edge technology.

“We are pushing the boundaries for how a luxury EV should look and handle—making it truly for the drivers,” he said.
