2025 summer timetable takes off at Munich Airport from March 30

214,000+ flights to 216 destinations
Munich Airport has launched its summer timetable for 2025, effective March 30, marking the start of a busy season for the Bavarian hub. This timetable will run until October 26, 2025, when 73 airlines operate more than 214,000 flights, connecting passengers to 216 destinations across 68 countries.
The 2025 summer season significantly expands Munich Airport’s network, with numerous airlines adding new routes and increasing frequency to popular destinations.
Among the most notable developments is Cathay Pacific’s introduction of a direct connection between Munich and Hong Kong. The airline will operate four weekly flights using its state-of-the-art Airbus A350 aircraft, catering to business and leisure travellers eager to visit one of Asia’s most dynamic cities.
In addition, Discover Airlines, which established a new long-haul base at Munich this March, is adding three weekly flights to Orlando, Windhoek, and Calgary. These routes will be served by Airbus A330 aircraft, offering passengers more options for transatlantic and international travel throughout the summer period.
Lufthansa hub
Lufthansa, Germany’s flagship carrier, is significantly changing its long-haul offerings as part of its summer schedule. The airline will base all eight of its Airbus A380 superjumbo aircraft in Munich, deploying them daily to key US and international cities.
Lufthansa’s A380 will serve destinations including Boston, New York’s JFK Airport, Los Angeles, Washington, DC, and New Delhi. A notable addition to Lufthansa’s network is Denver, which will be included in the A380 route network as of April 30, 2025.
The airline will also increase the frequency of flights to Bangalore from three to five weekly services and ramp up its San Diego route to a daily connection. For the first time, Tromsø in northern Norway will be offered as a summer destination from Munich, with flights departing every Saturday at lunchtime.
Far East
Munich Airport’s connections to the Far East are also expanding. From July, Vietnam Airlines will increase its frequency to Hanoi from two to three flights per week while maintaining its twice-weekly service to Ho Chi Minh City.
EVA Air will upgrade its fleet with the Boeing 787, offering a new nonstop service to Taipei from May 17. The service will feature a three-class cabin configuration, marking the airline’s first global long-haul flight with this cabin setup.
Etihad Airways will also increase its flights from Abu Dhabi to Munich, offering twice-daily services with its Boeing aircraft starting in May. In late May, SCAT Airlines will launch three weekly flights to Shymkent in southern Kazakhstan, a new Central Asian route.
Europe
The European market is not left behind, with several airlines adding or increasing flights to key destinations. easyJet will operate two daily flights to Rome-Fiumicino, and starting from March 30, ITA Airways will serve Milan-Linate with the same frequency from Terminal 2.
The summer season will also bring additional holiday connections, with charter carriers Lumiwings and Universal Air launching flights to Foggia and Rimini. Furthermore, SkyAlps, the Italian airline, will connect Munich to Mostar in Bosnia and Herzegovina twice weekly. Transavia France will operate flights to Paris-Orly three times a week starting in April.
SAS will increase its daily flights to Copenhagen from one to two, while Pegasus Airlines will significantly boost its frequency to Istanbul-Sabiha Gökçen from 14 to up to 25 weekly departures.
Condor is introducing more flexibility for business travellers by offering daily morning and evening flights between Munich and Frankfurt. The airline will operate up to 120 weekly departures, primarily serving passengers traveling to popular beach destinations, including the Greek and Canary Islands.
