37 Consult ramps up digital marketing services for UAE-based SMEs
UAE may have one million SMEs by 2030
37 Consult, a Dubai-based boutique consultancy, is intensifying its digital marketing services aimed primarily at Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in the UAE to grow and expand their business.
Since its launch in Dubai in 2017, 37 Consult says it has turned more than AED8 million in advertising spend into AED50 million in client revenue.
Dario Lapp, founder of 37 Consult, said: “Our focus is not just on elevating businesses; it is about rewriting digital marketing rules for the UAE’s SMEs. We infuse creativity and innovation into every strategy, setting new standards in digital marketing and content production.”
“Our [UAE] clients range from Pilates, yoga, and sports studios to software companies, e-commerce stores and youth and holiday camps for kids,” Lapp added.
“Our expertise comes from real experience from 60+ customers,” Lapp added, noting that his company is fully aware of the issues that UAE-based SMEs face when starting their business from zero level.
Hailing from Germany, Lapp landed in Dubai in 2015, working in an events and marketing agency for four years. Then, with a string of freelance clients in his possession, Lapp decided to open 37 Consult to boost e-commerce and SME businesses.
According to official figures, the number of SMEs in the UAE was 557,000 as of mid-2022. These SMEs contribute as much as 63.5% to the non-oil GDP of the UAE.
The UAE has launched a National SME Programme to develop the general frameworks and guidelines which will provide expertise, training, and technical and administrative support in various fields to promote and develop SMEs in the Gulf country.
In an additional boost for SMEs, the UAE SME Council develops strategic plans and policies for SMEs in the UAE and sets the necessary rules and regulations to enhance coordination between the National Programme for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises and participating bodies.
It is estimated that a million SMEs will be in the UAE by 2030.
