Condor to fly from Frankfurt to 8 new European cities in 2025
Carrier embraces ‘leisure’ concept
The German leisure airline Condor will enhance its summer 2025 flight schedule by adding eight city break destinations. Starting in the summer of 2025, the airline will operate daily flights from Frankfurt to Rome (FCO), Milan (MXP), Prague (PRG), Vienna (VIE), Zurich (ZRH), Berlin (BER), Hamburg (HAM), and Munich (MUC). These cities are famous for their rich culture, sightseeing, shopping, conferences, and culinary experiences.
This expansion follows the launch of Condor’s long-haul routes to New York and Bangkok destinations.
Condor now embraces the growing trend of ‘leisure’ – combining business travel with leisure. Peter Gerber, CEO of Condor, said: “With these eight new city connections, each operated daily, we’re offering our passengers exciting destinations where they can enjoy both work and pleasure. Condor is no longer just a holiday airline; we’re continuously evolving our flight schedule to meet the diverse needs of our guests.”
In response to rising operational costs in Germany, Condor will relocate five aircraft to bases abroad, including Zurich, Vienna, Prague, Milan, and Rome. These moves are part of the airline’s strategy to maintain economic growth while adjusting to soaring location costs in Germany. Condor joins several other airlines that have already shifted capacity in light of these rising costs.
The new aircraft bases will enable Condor to meet the high demand for city connections from Frankfurt and growing tourist programmes from local operators. Next summer, Condor will station additional aircraft in Zurich, Vienna, and, for the first time, Prague, Milan, and Rome to serve these popular markets. This expansion reflects Condor’s commitment to meeting the evolving demands of its customers while growing its network across Europe.
Condor offers various flight services to destinations across Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and North America. Founded in 1955, it has become one of Germany’s major airlines, providing short—and long-haul flights for holidaymakers and business travellers.
