Able to accommodate 250 passengers
Emirates has opened its newly relocated and refurbished lounge in the Satellite 1 Terminal (SAT-1) at Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport. The $5 million refurbishment has transformed the lounge into a facility that sets a new benchmark for premium travel, providing Emirates passengers with an enhanced ground experience.
Spanning 1,454 square metres, the lounge offers ample space and comfort, with a capacity to accommodate 250 passengers. This allows the facility to cater to all premium passengers travelling on two simultaneous A380 departures. Notably, the expanded lounge is now the largest international lounge in the Emirates, beyond its home market in Dubai.
The lounge, designed in the signature Emirates style, boasts elegant furnishings, a serene atmosphere, and a wide range of upscale amenities. First—and business-class passengers and Skywards members can indulge in pre-flight relaxation with various luxurious services, including shower spas, complimentary Wi-Fi, and an extensive food and beverage selection. The menu features local and international dishes and classic Thai desserts.
The lounge is on the fourth floor of the SAT-1 Terminal, a five-minute walk from the boarding gates. It is easily accessible for those flying Emirates’s six daily flights from Bangkok. Emirates is one of the first carriers to move into this newly developed terminal, which offers modern facilities to enhance the passenger experience.
Emirates operates 41 lounges worldwide, including seven at Dubai International Airport and 34 across its global network. Additionally, eligible customers can access partner lounges in select destinations, providing seamless travel experiences at airports worldwide.
Opening the new lounge in Bangkok marks a milestone in Emirates’ commitment to strengthening its operations in Thailand. This year, the airline celebrates 35 years of service to the country and continues reinforcing its position as a leader in luxury travel to and from Southeast Asia. With a daily mix of Airbus A380 and Boeing 777 flights, Emirates provides over 870 First—and business-class seats between Dubai and Bangkok, maintaining a strong demand for premium services.
The airline’s dedication to customer comfort extends beyond the lounge. It offers complimentary chauffeur-drive service within a 60-km radius of Suvarnabhumi Airport and exclusive check-in counters for its premium passengers.
