Aspen Heights British School, part of the International Schools Partnership (iSP), has announced the appointment of Gillian Hammond as its new Principal for the 2025-2026 academic year.
With a career spanning over two and a half decades in the education sector, Hammond’s appointment marks the onset of an exciting new chapter for the school, building upon its commitment to providing world-class education. Her proven ability to cultivate exceptional learning environments and empower collaborative teams will be invaluable as the school continues to elevate its academic standards and strengthen its vibrant, supportive community.
Hammond joins Aspen Heights British School and iSP from the Repton Family of Schools, where she served as Chief Education Officer of Excella and Principal at three Repton schools. She played a pivotal role in leading Repton Abu Dhabi and Dubai to Outstanding ratings from ADEK and DSIB.

Hammond takes over leadership of the school from Emma Shanahan who announced her departure after eight years.

Aspen Heights British School opened with just 50 students eight years ago and has since grown to a full through school with multiple accreditations including a BSO Outstanding inspection judgement, IB World School status, and a Good ADEK inspection rating.
