Sharjah, January 7, 2026 The Sharjah Institute for Heritage is contributing a wide range of knowledge-driven content and specialised publications to the second edition of the Sharjah Literature Festival, reinforcing its role in preserving and promoting cultural heritage.
The institute’s pavilion features more than 1,100 publications focused on tangible and intangible heritage. These include poetry collections, folklore compilations, encyclopedias, specialised dictionaries, themed book series, as well as journals and periodicals dedicated to cultural studies.
Visitors can also explore academic works covering oral heritage, traditional crafts, folk performance arts, historical architecture and traditional attire. In addition, the collection includes publications documenting Emirati and Arab popular biographies, offering insights into social history and collective memory.
According to the institute, the participation aims to strengthen connections between contemporary generations and their cultural roots, while reinforcing values of identity and belonging through documented knowledge and research.
