Dubai’s popular cultural attraction, Global Village, will remain closed until Friday, March 6, as a precautionary safety measure following official guidance from authorities.
In a statement shared on its social media platforms, Global Village advised visitors to stay updated through its official website and channels for the latest information regarding reopening.
Despite the temporary closure of the attraction, Emaar confirmed that operations across its communities, shopping malls, hospitality assets, and development projects are continuing as normal. The company said all facilities remain open and functioning despite heightened regional tensions.
Authorities urge residents to follow official updates
UAE authorities have also reminded residents to follow safety instructions issued through official warning alerts. These alerts are part of the country’s national early warning system and are designed to protect lives by ensuring public preparedness during emergencies.
Officials stressed that people should avoid leaving their homes or stopping their vehicles to film incidents, as such behaviour could put both their own safety and the safety of others at risk.
Authorities also warned against spreading rumours or sharing unverified information on social media. Under UAE law, circulating false or misleading information can lead to legal penalties.
The Ministry of Interior advised residents to take shelter in secure buildings during any potential missile threats and to stay away from windows, doors, and open areas until it is safe.
