The General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai (GDRFA) has rolled out a new cybersecurity reporting feature through its “Amer” Contact Centre, allowing residents to quickly report suspicious online activities and digital fraud.

The initiative is part of broader efforts to strengthen digital security across the emirate, as authorities respond to a rise in cybercrime incidents. Officials are urging residents to remain cautious when dealing with unknown messages, links, or websites, especially those impersonating official government entities such as GDRFA.

Residents can now use the dedicated “Cybersecurity Incident Reporting” option by contacting the Amer helpline at 800 5111 to report concerns immediately.

Authorities advised the public to use the service in cases involving misuse of official names, fake websites posing as government platforms, suspicious cybersecurity threats, or fraudulent digital transactions.

Officials emphasised that timely reporting is critical to limiting the spread of cybercrime and protecting the wider community. They added that public awareness and cooperation play a vital role in strengthening digital safety.

GDRFA reaffirmed its commitment to safeguarding residents’ digital security, urging everyone to stay alert and report any suspicious activity without delay.
