Kuwait Airways has confirmed it will restart commercial flights to Dhaka via Dammam International Airport in Saudi Arabia, with services scheduled to operate twice a week starting April 24. The move comes as the airline looks to strengthen regional connectivity and respond to growing passenger demand.
Acting CEO Abdulwahab Al Shatti said the relaunch highlights the strategic importance of the Dhaka route within the airline’s expanding network. He added that Kuwait Airways is continuing to rebuild and extend its operations through Dammam, which has become a key transit point for several international routes.
The airline has recently operated flights via Dammam to major destinations including London, Cairo, Istanbul, Lahore, Amman, Mumbai and Delhi, reflecting a broader effort to enhance connectivity across Asia, the Middle East and Europe.
Currently serving 14 destinations, Kuwait Airways is working to gradually restore more routes as travel demand increases, while maintaining operational efficiency and service reliability.
In addition, the airline has introduced visa application services for Saudi Arabia, available to residents with prior booking. Officials said coordination with relevant authorities remains ongoing to ensure smooth travel processes and uphold safety standards for both passengers and crew.
