Centre for Musical Arts Launches Music-Focused Offers Through May to Support Learning, Wellbeing, and Community Connection

The Centre for Musical Arts (CMA) has announced the extension of its special programming and financial incentives through the end of May. Aimed at making music education more accessible for families, children, and adults across the UAE, these initiatives prioritize flexibility and wellbeing, providing a creative outlet for those seeking structure and emotional enrichment.

To lower the barrier to entry for new and returning students, CMA has extended the following offers till May 2026:

  • Flexible Enrolment: Short-term lesson packages designed for busy schedules.
  • Reduced Initial Costs: Full registration fee waivers for all new enrolments.
  • Retail Incentives: 20% discount on all sheet music.
  • Cultural Expansion: The launch of CMA’s first Arabic Music Programme, debuting with specialized instruction in the Oud.
  • Adult Wellness Workshops: Beginner-friendly group sessions under the “Music for Wellbeing” banner, including Piano for PeaceBeat the StressStrum and Jam, and Sing It Out Loud.

The Power of Music

The extension comes as more families recognize music as a vital tool for development. Research from the University of Southern California highlights that music instruction can accelerate brain development in children—specifically in areas responsible for sound processing, language acquisition, and reading skills.

Beyond academic advantages, music serves as a stabilizing force. A 2021 study confirmed that engaging with music significantly reduces stress and anxiety while fostering social connection during periods of uncertainty.

Tala Badri, Founder and Executive Director of CMA, the first Emirati woman to earn a Bachelor’s degree in Music from Royal Holloway, University of London, emphasized the importance of this timing.

“With nearly two decades in music education, I have witnessed how music builds the cognitive skills and emotional resilience necessary to navigate life’s challenges. By extending these offers through May, we are removing barriers and inviting the community to experience the transformative power of music—the same power that shaped my journey from performer to advocate.”

Through these programmes, CMA remains committed to meeting the community where it is, providing a sanctuary for reflection for adults and a foundational building block for the next generation.
