The Kingdom of Bahrain will host the second round of the third edition of the Emirates Arabian Horse Global Cup (EAHGC) starting tomorrow evening at the Bahrain International Endurance Village, bringing together top competitors from across the globe.
A total of 106 horses, owned by 72 participants, are set to compete in the prestigious series organised by the UAE to support Arabian horse owners and breeders worldwide. The event reflects the country’s continued efforts to elevate the global profile of purebred Arabian horses and strengthen the sector internationally.
The championship is held under the supervision of Sheikh Zayed bin Hamad Al Nahyan, Vice Chairman of the Emirates Arabian Horse Society (EAHS) and Chairman of the Higher Organising Committee. It highlights the UAE’s commitment to preserving Arabian horse heritage while expanding participation through world-class competitions.
Over two days, the Bahrain leg will feature categories for yearling colts and fillies, junior colts and fillies, as well as senior mares and stallions, before concluding with championship finals across all divisions.
The third edition of the global cup spans multiple continents, underlining the international reach of UAE-led initiatives in the equestrian sector. The opening round was held in Australia in January, while upcoming stages will take place in Morocco in May, the United States in September, China in October, Italy in November, and Brazil will host the final round later that month.
Through this global series, the UAE continues to reinforce its leadership in supporting purebred Arabian horses, promoting their legacy, and ensuring the growth of this historic and culturally significant industry.
