The UAE Cyber Security Council (CSC), in partnership with CPX Holding, has launched the “UAE Cyber Factory,” a new national initiative aimed at strengthening the country’s cyber resilience, digital sovereignty, and leadership in advanced cybersecurity technologies.
The announcement comes as cyber threats continue to grow in frequency and sophistication, with the UAE Cyber Security Council reporting more than 800,000 cyberattacks recorded daily in recent months. Officials said the new initiative is designed to enhance the nation’s ability to predict, detect, and respond to evolving cyber threats targeting both public institutions and individuals.
Dr. Mohamed Al Kuwaiti, Head of Cyber Security for the UAE Government, described the launch as a major milestone in the country’s digital transformation journey, positioning the UAE as a global centre for advanced cybersecurity innovation.
He said the UAE is focused not only on protecting critical systems but also on developing cutting-edge technologies capable of preventing and countering cyber threats more effectively amid rising global digital risks.
According to officials, the UAE Cyber Factory will focus on designing, building, and scaling next-generation cybersecurity capabilities powered by artificial intelligence. The initiative will support the development of advanced programmes, systems, and technologies to improve the speed and accuracy of cyber threat detection and response.
The project will also function as a sovereign cybersecurity ecosystem, giving the UAE greater ownership over its digital defence infrastructure while reducing reliance on external systems and strengthening national cyber readiness.
Through the initiative, the Cyber Security Council and CPX aim to accelerate the local development of globally competitive cybersecurity solutions while supporting innovation, engineering, and talent development within the UAE.
Hadi Anwar, CEO of CPX Holding, said the UAE Cyber Factory represents a significant step toward building a future-ready cybersecurity ecosystem driven by local expertise and advanced engineering.
He added that strengthening national ownership of cybersecurity capabilities would help create a more secure and resilient digital environment for government entities, businesses, and the wider community.
