The UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) has confirmed that no Ebola cases have been detected in the country, emphasizing that the nation continues to uphold a high level of health preparedness and disease surveillance.

The ministry stated that UAE health authorities are closely monitoring global health developments and remain fully prepared to respond to any potential public health threats. Officials reassured residents that there are currently no confirmed Ebola infections within the UAE.

The clarification follows reports concerning a traveler who visited the UAE before later being diagnosed with Ebola after arriving in Uganda several days after leaving the country. According to the ministry, the individual did not seek medical treatment or visit any healthcare facility during their stay in the UAE.

In line with the country’s established public health protocols, authorities promptly activated precautionary measures, including risk assessments, contact tracing, and other preventive procedures in accordance with national guidelines and international health standards.

The ministry highlighted that relevant UAE authorities continue to coordinate closely with the World Health Organization and international health agencies to monitor developments and ensure continued readiness.

Reaffirming the country’s robust healthcare framework, MoHAP said the UAE will maintain vigilant surveillance and continue working with international partners to safeguard public health.

The ministry also urged the public to rely solely on official sources for information and avoid sharing rumors or unverified reports regarding health-related matters.
