Bloom World Academy’s Celebrates First Cohort with Impressive IB Diploma Results

Bloom World Academy (BWA) has announced the results of its first-ever International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) cohort, marking a significant milestone in the school’s history. Students achieved impressive outcomes and secured places at leading universities around the world, reflecting the ambition, resilience and academic excellence that define the BWA community.

The Class of 2026 achieved 100 IBDP pass rate, showcasing the collective success of the graduating year group. Students recorded an average IBDP score of 34.8 points and an average subject grade of 5.54. These outcomes are expected to place Bloom World Academy well above both the UAE and global averages, with the official 2026 benchmarks yet to be published.

Among the cohort’s top performers, 40% of students achieved 41 points or more out of a possible 45. The results reflect the academic excellence, determination and resilience demonstrated by Bloom World Academy’s first graduating IBDP cohort.

Bloom World Academy’s Career-related Programme (CP) students also recorded strong results, with more than 80% of all BTEC Diploma module grades awarded at the highest levels of Distinction or Distinction Star.

Among the cohort’s top performers, Chanelle Scoular, has received a scholarship to St. Mary’s London for the BA Acting programme. The graduating class has also received offers from a range of highly regarded institutions worldwide, including London School of Economics (LSE), King’s College London, University College London (UCL) and the University of St Andrews.

This year’s results come against a unique backdrop. Following the cancellation of external examinations across the UAE due to regional tensions, the International Baccalaureate Organisation introduced alternative assessment measures based on students’ coursework, predicted grades and other evidence gathered throughout their studies. Despite an academic year marked by uncertainty and disruption, BWA students remained focused on their goals and continued to perform at an exceptional level.

Nishi Saran, Principal of Senior School & Nexus University: “Our first pioneering IBDP and CP cohort has achieved an exceptional set of results, and we could not be prouder. As the very first students to graduate from Bloom World Academy, they have helped shape the culture, values, and legacy of our school. Throughout their journey, they have shown remarkable character, resilience, and ambition, particularly in light of the disruption and uncertainty caused by the recent regional conflict.

I would like to thank our parents for the trust they have placed in us, and our exceptional staff for their unwavering commitment and care to every student. Together, we have celebrated not only exceptional academic success but, more importantly, the growth of extraordinary young people. We are immensely proud of this pioneering cohort. As Bloom World Academy’s very first graduates, they have not only made history but have also established a legacy that will inspire every cohort that follows. They will always hold a special place in the story of Bloom World Academy.”

John Bell, Executive Principal of Bloom World Academy, said: “We are absolutely delighted with the outcomes for our students. We achieved record results in IBDP, and our first cohort of G12 students have gained places in some of the finest universities around the world. As a young school we could not have hoped for more – particularly in such disrupted academic year.”

Known for its firsts, Bloom World Academy has introduced a number of innovations to the region, including a later start time of 9:00 am, fully personalised timetables, and the Learning Achievement Passport (LAP), all designed to put students’ wellbeing and individual growth at the heart of learning. Its curriculum follows a spiral structure, enabling students to revisit key concepts over time and build deeper understanding as they progress. As a fully authorised IBDP/CP school, BWA offers multiple academic routes through both the Diploma and Career-related Programmes (IBCP), including Business and Technology Education Council (BTEC) diploma courses such as Engineering and a pioneering, first-of-its-kind short course in Artificial Intelligence in the UAE.
