Abu Dhabi primed for Electric Vehicle Innovation Summit 2024
The 3-day event is being held at ADNEC
The leading global electric vehicle (EV) industry players will gather in Abu Dhabi when the UAE capital hosts the third edition of the Electric Vehicle Innovation Summit (EVIS) from May 20 to 22, 2024,
Set to be the premier trade event in the Middle East and Africa (MEA) region, exclusively focusing on current and future EV technologies, the trade event is jointly organised by Nirvana MICE and Leading Events and supported by the UAE Ministry of Energy & Infrastructure.
The three-day event at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) will focus primarily on sustainable mobility for the UAE and the rest of the MEA region. Key decision-makers, thought leaders, and leading global EV manufacturers would attend.
With the EV market in the MEA pegged at $3.8 billion in 2024 and projected to grow at a CAGR of 23.34% to $10.38 billion in 2029, EVIS 2024 could not have been held at a better time, given the rapidly evolving EV industry.
Exhibition and conference
EVIS 2024 comprises two distinct segments – exhibition and conference.
The exhibition component features EV manufacturers and distributors, government bodies, municipalities, public transport operators, fleet owners and integrated energy firms, R&D centres and environmental agencies, banking and investment entities, and universities.
The event’s all-new Tech Park will showcase the latest e-mobility innovations presented by universities, technology incubators, and startups, including various projects and prototypes that aim to contribute to the evolving world of sustainable mobility.
A key feature of EVIS 2024 is the E-Vehicle Show, which will feature the most unique EVs, ranging from concept to market-leading brands.
In addition to panel discussions encompassing key insights and trends led by renowned EV industry leaders, the conference element of EVIS 2024 will also feature daily keynotes by leading sustainable mobility experts from the UAE, the MEA region and the rest of the world, covering topics as diverse as significant EV market disruptors to future trends steering the EV space.
A significant feature of EVIS 2024 will be the presentation of awards, especially a Student Innovation Award that recognises exceptional student e-mobility projects and Startup Awards to facilitate entrepreneurial ventures driving innovation in the EV sector.
The EV Test Drive zone at EVIS 2024 will allow visitors to experience a hands-on driving experience with cutting-edge EVs and provide a clear understanding of the nuances and capabilities these vehicles deliver.
EVIS 2024 core exhibition elements
New energy vehicles: Electric passenger vehicles, light electric vehicles, commercial electric vehicles, electric motorcycles, electric bicycles, hybrid electric vehicles, and fuel cell vehicles.
Powertrain: General motors, in-wheel motors, hybrid engines, transmission, cable braider and automatic wiring, braking and components, and other powertrain components.
Batteries: Lithium batteries, lead-acid batteries, nickel batteries, battery management, testing systems and capacitors, fuel cell systems, fuel cell management, hydrogen tanks, hydrogen refuelling, testing equipment, raw materials, parts and components, and battery manufacturing equipment.
Energy and infrastructure: Electric energy suppliers, hydrogen energy suppliers, energy infrastructure, intelligent grid V2G, electrical cables, connectors, fast charging stations, energy and charging systems, charging infrastructure, hydrogen fuel cell infrastructure, and communication infrastructure.
Hydrogen: Hydrogen vehicles, hydrogen tanks, and hydrogen refuelling.
