AI and finance dominate ADIPEC 2024 agenda in Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi, the global energy industry hub, will host the 40th edition of the Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference (ADIPEC) from November 4 to 7, 2024.
Organised by dmg events, the event will convene over 184,000 attendees, including more than 1,800 innovators and experts from the energy, artificial intelligence (AI), and technology sectors.
This year’s theme focuses on integrating AI and finance to drive the global energy transition. The conference aims to explore how AI can transform economies and industries, facilitating a just and equitable transition in energy systems.
To complement the ten conferences scheduled for ADIPEC 2024, the exhibition will cover 16 halls and feature more than 2,200 exhibitors from the entire spectrum of the global energy ecosystem.
This includes representation from 54 national and international oil companies, national and independent energy companies, and 30 dedicated country pavilions. Specialised areas will focus on decarbonisation, digitalisation, maritime and logistics, and AI, highlighting the latest breakthroughs shaping the future of energy.
Energyai exhibition
The inaugural Energyai exhibition, presented by ADNOC, will highlight the event. It aims to showcase AI’s profound impacts on the energy value chain.
Accompanying this exhibition will be the Energyai Conference, where leaders from various sectors will gather to create a strategic roadmap for AI integration in energy. The discussions will centre on maximising AI’s potential to optimise energy production and consumption while addressing the increasing demands on global energy systems.
In addition to these focal points, ADIPEC 2024 will introduce three new conferences that bring together diverse voices from finance, technology, youth, and the Global South. These initiatives are designed to shape a more sustainable and inclusive energy future, reflecting the diversity of the global energy community.
The Finance and Investment Conference will provide a platform for dialogue about the discrepancies between current capital flows and the investments necessary for a fair transition. Meanwhile, the Voices of Tomorrow Conference will foster connections between emerging leaders from different regions, highlighting the importance of inclusivity in energy discussions.
The ADIPEC Strategic Conference will feature some of the world’s most influential thought leaders. It will explore how technological innovation can accelerate decarbonisation and emphasise the significance of cross-sector partnerships.
Moreover, the Digitalisation and Technology Conference will examine how next-generation technologies can unlock new opportunities for efficiency and decarbonisation. Attendees will learn about advancements in areas such as the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) and carbon capture, utilisation, and storage (CCUS) and how these technologies can be scaled sustainably.
With its emphasis on collaboration, innovation, and inclusivity, ADIPEC 2024 promises to be a pivotal moment for the global energy community as it seeks to navigate the complexities of an evolving energy landscape.
