Dubai RTA celebrates the 52nd UAE National Day
Public transport in Dubai City also joins the celebrations
Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (Dubai RTA) celebrated the 52nd UAE National Day by organising commemorative events for staff at the external courtyard of the Dubai RTA headquarters on November 28, 2023.
The activation included Emirati heritage activities, such as pearl diving and the art of preparing Arabic coffee. Smart screens displaying quizzes about the UAE’s geographical and historical landmarks, an electronic games corner, a performance by a popular band, a display of traditional weapons, household items, folk costumes, and traditional occupations were all part of the festivities.
Emirati hospitality was highlighted, along with a special exhibit designed as a historical museum narrating the life story in the UAE before the various emirates joined up to form a sovereign nation.

In the coming days, the 52nd UAE National Day logo will be displayed on smart traffic screens across certain main roads in Dubai City. At the same time, the Dubai Water Canal waterfall will be illuminated with the colours of the UAE flag.
UAE National Day-themed designs will also be displayed on digital screens on the Dubai Metro and Dubai Tram networks, as well as Dubai RTA-owned and operated public buses and marine transit modes.
Dubai RTA will also hand out UAE flags to Dubai Metro commuters at Jebel Ali metro station, where UAE folk performances will also occur.
Set up in November 2005, Dubai RTA plans, develops, and operates all mass transit systems in Dubai emirate, including buses, taxis, metro, tram, and marine modes, as well as public parking facilities.
The Authority also enacts and implements legislation and strategic plans while developing and maintaining public roads, road traffic, rail, and marine projects across Dubai emirate.
