Emirates And Viva Aerobus Forge Alliance

Expanding Travel Horizons In Mexico

Emirates and Viva Aerobus have joined forces in an interline agreement, transforming travel options and connectivity for passengers in Mexico.

The alliance brings many unique benefits, including expanded domestic and international routes for Emirates customers, a unified baggage policy, and connectivity to enhance the travel experience.

Interline tickets are now on sale, offering immediate advantages for travellers seeking enhanced flexibility and convenience. The collaboration opens up a network of 21 domestic destinations from Mexico City, including popular spots like Acapulco, Cancun, Guadalajara, and Monterrey.

Moreover, it unlocks direct routes to select American cities such as Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles, Orlando, and Miami from key Mexican hubs.

Adnan Kazim, Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer at Emirates, said: “We are pleased to activate an interline partnership with Viva Aerobus to deepen our reach into Mexico, beyond Mexico City. This new partnership gives our customers more choices to suit their travel plans and enables them to fly to various unique destinations in Mexico.

“Emirates customers can also fly directly between select US points and cities in Mexico. This new offering is in line with our Fly Better promise and convenience that can be felt by our customers when flying with us, and we look forward to further developing the partnership in the future to elevate its benefits to our customers.”

Connectivity Points

Echoing this sentiment, Javier Suarez, Executive Vice President & Chief Planning and Alliances Officer at Viva Aerobus, added: “We are excited about this new partnership with Emirates. Connecting the Emirates route from Barcelona with our Mexico City network allows passengers to reach many other destinations in Mexico and the US.

“Equally, this opportunity allows passengers from the many Mexican cities to make a short stop in Mexico City, board an Emirates flight to reach the great city of Barcelona and continue their trip to Dubai and beyond. All of this with the convenience of buying a single ticket.”

Embarking on this interline journey with Emirates promises a premium travel experience featuring comfort, exquisite dining, and top-tier entertainment options onboard the airline’s wide-body aircraft, including the Boeing 777 and the double-decker A380.

Meanwhile, Viva Aerobus ensures a convenient transition for passengers with its modern fleet comprising 83 Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft, offering a comfortable and efficient journey through the Mexican skies.

Since its inaugural flight to Mexico City in 2019, Emirates has cemented its regional presence, offering daily flights to the Mexican capital via Barcelona. Leveraging its extensive network spanning 140 destinations, Emirates continues to position Mexico as a pivotal hub in its global operations.
