Emirates Prepares Culinary Delights For Eid Al Fitr
As Ramadan Draws To A Close
With Islam’s holy month of Ramadan swiftly drawing close, Emirates Airlines is gearing up to celebrate Eid Al Fitr, promising its passengers an experience infused with traditional flavours and entertainment.
With the Eid Al Fitr festivities expected to commence on April 10, 2024, the airline has announced a lineup of offerings to honour this significant occasion for the Muslim community.
From April 10th to 13th, Emirates’ Economy Class passengers departing from Dubai can anticipate a culinary journey featuring traditional Eid specialities.
Options include tantalising chicken biryani adorned with crunchy fried onions, raisins, and cashew nuts or the sumptuous lamb kibbeh labneh served with vermicelli rice and a rich laban sauce.
Dessert options include a delectable halwa brownie with cardamom sauce and an irresistible chocolate mousse topped with bathes crumble.
Traditional Eid Delights
The offerings for Premium Economy and Business Class passengers include traditional Eid delights such as chicken mash el jeder with a spiced sauce, chickpea hash, and ghee rice tossed with potatoes.
Seafood lovers can relish in a fish matfy immersed in a spiced tomato sauce and served with indulgent butter rice. Dessert options in these classes include a fragrant pistachio and hibiscus namoura with raspberry curd or a luxurious vanilla and rose mousse cake.
First Class passengers are in for a royal treat with meticulously crafted dishes like hammer mattify in Emirati-style spiced tomato sauce with basmati rice or succulent lamb kebabs marinated in spicy tomato butter.
Eid desserts for First Class passengers include vanilla and rose mousse cake with pistachio anglaise and fresh berries or a warm orange blondie served with white chocolate and vanilla cream tart drizzled in caramel sauce.
Passengers across all classes will receive a special mini-treat with their meal. For Premium Economy, Business, and First Class customers, the mini-treat will feature a sweet pumpkin Asseda with an additional almond apricot tart.
Emirates lounges at Dubai International Airport (DXB) will also be decked out for the Eid occasion.
First Class customers can indulge in various options, including Arabic coffee, jallab, and kamarruddin juice, alongside a selection of hot and cold Arabic mezzeh, lamb ouzi, or Arabic mixed grill.
Sweet treats await with delicacies like kunafa, kathayef, and bassbousa. Business Class lounges will feature classic chicken khabsa and a variety of tempting desserts, including date mammal, baklava pecan rolls, and saffron Barbosa.
Ice Cream Cart
Not to be missed is the old-fashioned ice cream cart in the lounge, offering homemade Baklava and Arabic coffee ice cream specially curated for Eid celebrations.
Emirates is also rolling out an extensive entertainment lineup for passengers travelling during Eid Al Fitr. With up to 6,500 channels of on-demand entertainment and more than 2,000 movies worldwide, passengers will have plenty to choose from.
Arabic content will be highlighted with over 100 Arabic films, including recent releases like ‘Amakor,’ ‘El Saf El Akheer,’ and ‘Al Masafa Sefr.’
Hollywood hits with Arabic subtitles, such as ‘Napoleon,’ ‘Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom,’ ‘Wish,’ ‘Ferrari,’ and ‘Killers of the Flower Moon’ will also be available.
Additionally, passengers can enjoy 46 channels of Arabic TV series and 15 channels of Arabic podcasts and audiobooks.
