Emirati university to showcase AI innovation at GITEX Global 2024

Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence (MBZUAI), the world’s first graduate-level research university dedicated solely to artificial intelligence (AI), will exhibit groundbreaking advancements in AI technology at GITEX Global 2024, which will take place at Dubai World Trade Centre from October 14 to 18.
As part of the Abu Dhabi Government pavilion at the show, the university aims to reinforce the UAE’s commitment to becoming a global leader in AI and innovation while addressing real-world challenges.
At GITEX Global 2024, visitors will have the opportunity to explore the latest research applications in computer vision (CV), machine learning (ML), natural language processing (NLP), and robotics.
These technologies are transforming various sectors, including healthcare, industry, and media, showcasing AI’s potential to drive sustainable development.
MBZUAI’s presentations will illustrate how AI solutions can emerge from the convergence of research, industry, and society, delivering significant impacts, particularly in improving healthcare outcomes and meeting sustainability goals.
Sultan Al Hajji, Vice President for Public Affairs and Alums Relations at MBZUAI, emphasised AI’s transformative role across industries. “AI is revolutionising industries around the world. At MBZUAI, we are not just part of this revolution but leading it.

Additionally, MBZUAI will highlight its research into digital media and AI-powered systems aimed at combating misinformation. In an era where the accuracy and reliability of information are increasingly under scrutiny, the university is developing AI tools designed to detect and mitigate the spread of fake news. These tools empower individuals to navigate digital media landscapes and identify trustworthy sources.
Visitors attending GITEX Global 2024 can engage with MBZUAI’s faculty and researchers at the Abu Dhabi Government pavilion, Stand H19-B20, Hall 19, Dubai World Trade Centre.
