Extreme Networks equips new BAPS Hindu Mandir temple in Abu Dhabi with a hi-tech system

California-based Extreme Networks, a global leader in cloud networking, is deploying a fabric-enabled wired network for the new BAPS Hindu Mandir temple in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

The hi-tech system will allow worshippers and visitors to experience immersive and digitally driven experiences at the temple.

The BAPS Hindu Mandir temple (featured image shows a CGI) is the first Hindu place of worship and cultural complex of its kind in the Middle East and Africa region.

Scheduled to open to worshippers and visitors on February 14, 2024, the BAPS Hindu Mandir temple is a traditional Hindu place of worship that is being built by the India-based BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha organisation.

Extreme Networks’ new secure and high-performing fabric-enabled wired network will enable BAPS Hindu Mandir temple to support and secure digital experiences, including multimedia displays across the entire temple complex.

Extensive complex

The temple complex comprises exhibition halls, a prayer hall, a tranquil garden, and staff offices.

With Extreme Fabric Connect and Universal 5000 Series switches, the new temple will be able to support advanced applications and services throughout the new complex.

These include visitor management applications, security cameras and other IoT devices, staff devices and the temple’s robust A/V system.

The Abu Dhabi temple is an extension of the global partnership between BAPS and Extreme Networks that aims to offer worshippers and visitors a modern experience while honouring tradition.

As part of this partnership Extreme Networks will also deploy new networks for the BAPS Sydney temple in Kemps Creek, Australia, and the BAPS temple in Robbinsville, New Jersey, United States.

The BAPS Hindu Mandir temple site is located off Exit 366, Sheikh Maktoum Bin Rashid highway (E11).
